Map

Chris informed us that the public didnt like the map because of the black background wasting peoples ink when printing. Our group in general didn't like the map very much and we decided we wanted to make one that felt part of our own website rather then inserting a google maps map into each page.

Fist iterations of map:

First iterations of map ideas, too decorative and not functional enough.

I started working in illustrator and outlining the google maps for the location but keeping an eye on the current Lux map to make sure everything was correct. Making sure I only put in relevant information so the map wasn't too busy but still making sure enough information was given so that a person could easily use it to find their was around if they were not used to the city.

Here is the final liner map made in illustrator.

Moving into photoshop to work in the correct format and start to bring a design to the map to fit the website.

Looks too busy and confusing

Filling in the lightning bolts makes less liner lines to look at

A bit hard to read the white lines

Black looks less clean and simple opposed to the white lines

Trying white with no opacity in the lightning bolts
